Dearey welcomes reversal of proposed change to ‘pay and file’ deadline

Green Party Enterprise Spokesperson Senator Mark Dearey has welcomed Finance Minister Brian Lenihan’s announcement that he is not proceeding with bringing forward the ‘pay and file’ deadline for self-employed people.

Senator Dearey said: “I am glad the Minister has taken into account the problems that we identified for self-employed people, including farmers, who would not have received their single farm payment by September 30.”
